Bartłomiej is the person who was the first to start a modern labour law practice for employers in Poland. He has been supporting clients in the People & Culture area since 1995.

He is the founder of our firm (2007).

In particular Bartłomiej specialises in:

  • individual and collective redundancies,
  • countering mobbing and discrimination,
  • relations with trade unions,
  • employee documents – contracts, rules and regulations, policies,
  • headcount restructuring,
  • supporting diversity in the workplace.

Recently Bartłomiej has been involved in the following cases of interest:

  1. transfer of a food concern’s works council from the UK to Poland,
  2. employment consequences of transferring the registered office of a Polish employer abroad, even before the legislation regulating this in detail comes into force.

For nearly 20 years he has been qualified in Band 1 (Tier 1) in all renowned international and Polish legal rankings, including The Legal 500 EMEA, Chambers & Partners and Who is Who Legal, Rzeczpospolita, Forbes.

From 2017 to 2019, Bartłomiej was Chair of the European Employment Lawyers Association and from 2008 to 2022 a member of the organisation’s Executive Board.

He was the founder and first President of the Labour Law Association.

He was a Founding Member of the Labour Law Section of the Warsaw District Bar.

He is a member of the American Employment Law Council, America’s most prestigious organisation of labour law lawyers.

Vice-Chair of the Outreach to International Lawyers Committee of the American Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Law Section.

Member of the International Bar Association

Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Member of the Editorial Board of Monitor Prawa Pracy (Employment Law Monitor).

Bartłomiej is very highly rated by clients.

He is the author of numerous articles and publications on labour law.

In his spare time, he studies ancient history, especially the Classical and Hellenistic Greek periods and the late Roman Republic.
